Winner Profile The PGA Championship has been one by some of the modern greats. The Atlanta Athletic Club has also seen some greats win major championships here including Keegan Bradley claiming the 2011 PGA Championship. Short-game exponents should be suited. It is a reasonably long course but accuracy will be prized. Finding greens though will be the most important stat.
Best Chances Nelly Korda: Won the Meijer LPGA Classic last week in a truly dominant showing, going 25-under par. In 10 starts this year she has two wins and five more Top 10s. Leads the Tour in Scoring Average and Birdies while she ranks 8th in Putts Per GIR, 10th in Driving Distance and 26th in GIR. Patty Tavatanakit: Superstar who won the ANA Inspiration in a dominant performance. Top 5 finishes in four of nine starts this year and has only two finishes outside the Top 26. Ranks Top 10 in Driving Distance, Putts Per GIR and Rounds Under Par.
Mid-Tier Chances Brooke Henderson: Canadian who won here in 2016. Won the LA Open earlier this year and has seven Top 20 finishes this year in 12 starts. Ranks 5th in GIR, 6h in Driving Distance and 8th in Birdie or Better. Hannah Green: Former winner here who is one of the best wedge/short-game players on Tour. Leads the Tour in Putts Per GIR while she ranks Top 10 in Birdie and Scoring Average. Ranks 15th in Driving Distance. Four Top 12 finishes in her last seven starts. Leona Maguire: Rising Irish star who has been in exceptional form. Has three Top 10s in her last eight starts. Ranks 6th in Putts Per GIR, 12th in Scoring Average and Top 25 in Birdies, GIR and Driving Accuracy. Jennifer Kupcho: Profiles nicely here. Ranks 12th in GIR, 19th in Driving Distance and 24th in Driving Accuracy. Also ranks 24th in Birdies. If putter gets hot, will be right in this.
Outside Chances Mo Martin: Veteran who leads the Tour in GIR and Driving Accuracy. No recent form but this course should suit.
